FREE RATION TO 80 CRORE PEOPLE UNTIL DIWALI: PM MODI
7 June 2021: Today at 5:00 p.m. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation. In his address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Covid-19 is the deadliest pandemic in the last 100 years and that the modern world has never seen such a pandemic. During the address, PM announced that from June 21, all people above 18 years of age in the country will be given free vaccine by the Government of India. He also mentioned the fact that it was important for frontline workers such as doctors to get vaccinated at firsthand because they are the ones who are going to save us, if not then the country might have suffered with much more consequences that we are facing now. He also declared the distribution of free ration to 800 million i.e. 80 crore people of the country until the auspicious festival Diwali under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY). He also stated that the government is standing with the poor in their every need as their partner.
