FORMER PRESIDENT OF DISTRICT YOUTH CONGRESS SHOT DEAD
Jalandhar, June 20, 2021: Former Councilor of Municipal Corporation Jalandhar and an ex-President of Jalandhar Youth Congress Sukhmeet Singh Alias was shot dead today, by an unidentified Youth in broad daylight at the busy Gopal Nagar locality. Deputy was accused in case of kidnapping and ransom. He had just came out of Jail after completing his sentence. He remained president of Jalandhar Youth Congress (Rural) and was elected as Councilor in year 2007 by defeating a close aide of the then Local Government Minister Manoranjan Kalia.
The case is under investigation and cops are still searching the criminal.
