Assails Sidhu for sharing stage with perpetrator of post matric scholarship scam
Phagwara, 02 January 2022 : Chairman of Punjab Agro industries Corporation and former Punjab Minister Mr Joginder Singh Mann today questioned the President of Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu that will his ‘Punjab Model’ patronise corrupt politicians who have usurped the money meant for welfare of poor and downtrodden.
In a statement issued here today, Mr Mann expressed surprised as how the self proclaimed idealist Navjot Sidhu can share stage with a person who has been indicted by a senior most officer of state government for embezzling money meant for post matric scholarship scheme. He reminded Sidhu that this embezzlement had led to ruining of career of several bright students from SC community. He said that what can be more shameful than this that instead of acting against the perpetrator of this heinous crime the President of state congress is promoting such persons.
He said that it reflects that the state Congress President is insensitive towards the issues pertaining to the SC brethren. He said that this retrogressive step of the state congress President has bruised the psyche of every common man especially those hailing from SC community. He said that Sidhu should apologise from SC community for hurting their sentiments by sharing stage with someone who is inimical to interests of community and Congress party.
He categorically said that today’s action of state congress President will act as last nail in coffin of Congress party as it will be routed out from entire state. He said that Sidhu is playing with fire by such actions and SC community will not forgive him for shielding those who have tried to ruin their younger generations. He also said that he will raise this matter in front on congress high command and seek its intervention for checking this irreparable damage.
