District Administration’s Door to Door Vaccination Campaign Brings Results

Patiala, June 27: Responding positively to the door to door vaccination campaign of District Administration Patiala in coordination with Health Department to ensure hundred percent coverage in rural area, eleven villages have completed the target, so far.

Divulging details, the Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Amit said that the district administration had started with the villages having vaccine coverage of 40 percent or above to bring the district especially the rural belt under the safety umbrella, that had low coverage due to one and another reasons. “Our teams have started not only inoculation but also to instill sense of positivity to clear the misconceptions, they have in their minds”, said Mr Amit.

He further said that we hope these eleven villages would further inspire the others too, to save the district from the apprehension of the third wave of Covid.    Listing the villages having completed vaccination coverage,  he said that we would definitely meet the target of 100 percent coverage of all the rural population of 18 plus within scheduled time limit of one and half months.

The eleven villages that have met the target of cent percent included Khokh, Mungo and Wazidri in Bhadson, Sainserwal, Theri, Shekhupura, Rasolpura Jora in Kauli (Patiala), Dudhan Sadhan in Dudhan Sadhan, Rampur Dugal in Patran, Ajit Nagar and Talwandi Kothe in Samana.

Mr Kumar Amit said that we are moving towards completion of our target of 100 percent vaccine coverage by choosing 10 villages per week in each block. Health teams are working in coordination with Rural Development and Panchayat Department, Revenue Department, Department of Cooperation and Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare to make the district fully vaccinated.

Applauding the dedication of Health teams, he said that from ASHA to ANMs and other paramedics are doing a lot to keep the district away from the clutches of this pandemic and he hopes the doctors who are leading the teams would definitely make the district 100 percent vaccinated within stipulated time.
