DEMOCRACY DYING SLOW DEATH AT HANDS OF BJP, NSUI PUNAJB PREZ AKSHAY SHARMA SLAMS MODI FOR SPONSORING LAKHIMPUR KHERI VIOLENCE
AMRITSAR, 05 OCTOBER 2021 : Slamming PM Modi for conspiring to kill our Anndatas, Punjab National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Akshay Sharma said whole of India is shocked and saddened by the happenings of Lakhimpur Kheri.
A Central Minister is visibly guilty of instigating violence against farmers with his son then killing them with his vehicle deliberately, Akshay said adding that both the father and son should be charged with sedition.
Leading a candle light vigil here at Conpany Bagh, Akshay Sharma said anyone who will try to target our farmers and agriculture will not be forgiven. Expressing his sympathies with the affected families, he said it is heart wrenching to even imagine the horror our farmers are being made to go through by the callous BJP.
Underlining the Congress resolve to not let the BJP escape responsibility of this murderous assault, Akshay said Rahul Gandhi Ji and Priyanka Gandhi Ji have always stood with our Anndatas. Castigating the Uttar Pradesh government for ruining our farmers, he said anger and resentment against this grim act is pervasive and BJP will not be able to face people now.
Arresting our leaders to stop them from going to meet farmers is against the Constitution, he said adding that BJP is trying to muzzle people’s voice and their democratic rights.
