– Daughters will play an important role in environmental protection

Ludhiana, 23 August 2024 : ‘Soch’ organisation has been making important contribution for environmental protection in Punjab for a long time.  For the maintenance of air, water, soil, forest etc., many works are going on in different regions of Punjab.  The organisation is going to start an important project ‘Female First Environment First’ in the village Hans Kalan of Ludhiana district.  This is a kind of unique project, in which the daughters Dhiyanis and Suanis of the village house will contribute significantly. The organisation running under the guidance of Sant Baba Gurmeet Singh ji is going to take a new step in terms of environmental protection.

President of ‘Soch’ organisation and environmental expert Dr.  Balwinder Singh Lakhewali said that under this project, 50 female students of Khalsa College for Women have permanently joined the ‘Soch’ organisation.  Similarly, 50 female students will be part of Shaheed Uttam Singh Hans Government Senior Secondary Smart School Hans Kalan (Ludhi:) team.

At the start of the project, data will be collected from every house in the city to see which trees are there first.  How is the waste management done and how many trees are there on the motor homes related to agriculture.  Anganwadi workers of the village will also give their support in this initial work.

Secretary of ‘Soch’ organization Dr.  Brij Mohan Bhardwaj said that every house will be given a fruit, flower or medicinal tree and the responsibility of planting and nurturing that tree will be given to a member of the house.  The project designed with daughters in mind will also be commanded by women skilled in various fields of ‘Soch’ organization as coordinators.  In which especially Dr.  Manmeet Manav, Mrs. Ravinder Kaur, Mrs. Sunaina Mittal, Madam Amanjit Kaur and Anjali Sharma will act as team leaders.

It is very important that the NRI of the village is involved in starting this project.  Mr.  Buta Singh ji is playing a special role and the principal and all the staff of the school are also busy with the work.   Apart from many youths of Hans Kalan and city residents, various members of ‘Soch’ organization such as Mr.  Charandeep Singh, Engr.  Amarjit Singh, Vikas Sharma, Sarabjit Kaur, Rahul Kumar and Mrs. Harwinder Kaur (Jagadhri) are making valuable contributions towards this important project.
