CM CHARANJIT SINGH CHANNI TO UNFURL TRICOLOUR ON R-DAY
– ADC REVIEWS PREPAREDNESS AS R-DAY FUNCTION TO BE HELD AS PER COVID PROTOCOLS
JALANDHAR, 21 JANUARY 2022 : Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi will unfurl the national flag on 73rd Republic Day celebrations here at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium on January 26.
As the entire event will be celebrated with patriotic fervour with strict adherence of COVID-19 protocols amid surge in cases and advisories issued by the Health Department. The gathering will also be limited this time. The Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Amarjit Bains took a round of the R-Day venue to take stock of ongoing preparations. He said that all COVID safety protocols would be followed in the letter and spirit.
Meanwhile, The ADC directed the concerned departments to ensure all necessary arrangements well in advance. He said that this time function is being held with limited participation of people provided that they should have been administered both COVID doses. Pointing out further he said that there would be no cultural and PT show during this event adding that the chief guest would unfurl the national flag, deliver his speech and take salute from the march past.
