Citing Apathy of Congress towards Valmiki community, leaders join AAP

Phagwara, 19 January 2022 : Peeved over apathetic attitude of Congress towards Valmiki community, hundreds of workers of community today said good bye to party and joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Hundreds of workers led by Congress leader Krishan Kumar Hero said that Congress has always ignored the community. He said this can be well judged from fact that Congress government led by Captain Amarinder Singh was first one in the state after independence which didn’t have any Minister from community. He said that after resignation of Navjot Singh Sidhu from Cabinet a berth remained vacant for more than two years but Congress didn’t made anyone from community a Minister.

Welcoming Hero and his supporters to party, Mann said that there support to party is very important. He said that Hero and his supporters will be given due representation in the party. He said that the day is not far when AAP government will be formed in the state under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann.

He said that the sole motive of AAP is to rebuild a new Punjab in which interests of every community are safeguarded. He said that AAP is firmly committed for carving a new and vibrant Punjab for which support of every individual is important. He also urged the people to stand solidly with AAP for ensuring all round development of Punjab and prosperity of its people.
