ADMINISTRATION PROVIDES OVER 19K JOBS TO YOUTHS IN FIVE PLACEMENT CAMPS : DC GHANSHYAM THORI
JALANDHAR, 25 SEPTEMBER 2021 : District Administration Jalandhar has successfully provided about 19339 jobs to unemployed youths during five placement camps held under the seventh round of mega job fair in the district.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that during these five placement camps special focus was laid on villages as most of the camps were held in rural areas.
He said that the state government had fixed target of providing 15000 jobs to participants, but administration has provided jobs to as many as 19339 youths with success rate of 130 percent.
He added that these job fairs have been proving boon for the youths by transforming their lives, thus enabling them to contribute in the socio-economic development of the state.
The DC reiterated district administration’s commitment to providing maximum youths with job opportunities as more placement camps would be held in the district under Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission in coming days. He said that these job fairs have been working as a bridge between unemployed youths and employers with providing employment opportunities to youths on the one hand while fulfilling the requirements of employers on the other.
