ADC ORDERS OPTIMUM UTILISATION AND MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES AND SPACE IN DAC

JALANDHAR,  27   MAY   2022  :   Additional Deputy Commissioner Amit Sareen today conducted a surprise checking at the district administrative complex to further ensure optimum utilisation and management of resources and space in the complex.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, who undertook a whirlwind tour of the complex today morning, said that there was dire need for utilising the vacant space and resources in an apt manner to facilitate the people. During the visit, the ADC issued on-the-spot directions to officials to improve cleanliness of drainage system, especially in washrooms. Likewise, proper arrangements of fans and potable water be made at waiting areas of the complex besides scaling up safety measures at entry points, said Mr. Sareen adding that disposal of waste lying in the complex also be ensured within 15 days.

The ADC further directed the officials to appoint supervisor for the entire complex to keep a tab over the misuse of water and electricity. The martial would frequently visit the complex regularly and report in case of misuse of water and electricity found, he said, adding in a first instance a penalty worth Rs. 100 would be imposed on violators followed by Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 fine on repeated violations.

He also asked the officials to prepare a detailed plan to commence plantation drive in the complex wherein as many as 500 saplings to be planted before the onset of Monsoon. He also directed the officials concerned to submit weekly progress reports on the above mentioned directions.

Meanwhile, during the inspection of complex, Mr. Sareen asked the officers to adopt due procedure for weeding out the scrap in the complex. He also asked to preserve the record that was lying at some places so that proper care of government records could be ensured.
