“EXTREMELY RARE” PREGNANCY FOETUS FOUND INSIDE MOTHER’S LIVER
December, 17 2021 : An Unborn Baby was discovered growing inside of a woman’s Liver after she had an ultrasound only to find her Pregnancy was ECTOPIC .
The “Extremely Rare” pregnancy was revealed by Michael Narvey paediatrician of Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba in Canada. This unusual case of a baby growing inside mother’s Liver was revealed by Michael Marvey via TIKTOK. In the video posted he said, “I thought i had seen it all a-33-year-old-woman comes in with a 14-day history of menstrual bleeding and 49 days since her last period “.
On diagnosed the doctor found baby in the liver as the woman had an Ectopic Pregnancy in her Liver. It was surprising for the doctor too as he never seen this before.
According to the reports, the surgeon saved the mother’s life by surgically removing the foetus however, the growing foetus did not survive. Ectopic Pregnacy is exceptionally rare according to National Centre for BioTechnology Information.
In the UK, around 1 in every 90 pregnancies is ectopic. There are around 11,000 ectopic pregnancies in a year.
According to Mayo Clinic, Ectopic pregnancy happens when a fertilized egg implants itself outside the womb and begins to grow there (usually in one of the fallopian tube). The fallopian tubes are connecting the ovaries to the womb. If an egg stuck in them, it won’t be able to develop fully and hence made it impossible to save the pregnancy.
