Says, prominent companies offer massive job opportunities to rural youths, more camps to be held
Jalandhar, 25 December 2021 : As many as 264 unemployed youths got jobs during the special placement camps held in villages under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav in Jalandhar between December 18-22, this.
Divulging the details, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Jaspreet Singh today said that the camps were held for 10th and 12th pass unemployed youths in collaboration with Punjab Skill Development mission and Rural Development & Panchayat department.
He further added that prominent companies hailing from health, food processing, beauty, capital goods, and manufacturing sector came up with massive job opportunities. He also said that companies like Vardhman, Mahindra Swaraj, Patel, Shriman & NHS Hospitals, Hotel Sukhmahal, Kandi Area Food & Herbal Process recruited a total of 264 youths after the selection procedure.
The ADC said that these camps were held across district, with first camp held on December 18 at Bharat Para Medical Skill Centre Vidhipur Fatak, followed by camps on December 21, 22 at National Science Society’s skill development centre Bhogpur and CT Institute Maqsudan Campus respectively. The ADC further mentioned that more camps would be held in coming days to provide unemployed rural youth with employment opportunities. He urged thr eligible candidates to participate in these camps to take maximum benefits of this drive.
